Crusaders History

The Crusaders’ history is one of the longest of any gospel group in the nation. Ron, Merle, and Dave, all original members, have been together since 1964.

When they started as the Crusaders Quartet in 1964, some of the members weren’t old enough to drive. By the late 1960’s they were traveling extensively throughout the Midwest.

In 1971 they moved into full-time gospel work traveling throughout the nation. They have traveled extensively with the nations top gospel groups, such as, the Blackwood Brothers and the Stamps Quartet. The Crusaders have traveled over a million miles and have sung in over 2,000 churches and auditoriums throughout United States. They have produced 20 albums and have sold over 100,000 copies.

Today – 45 years later, Ron, Merle, Dave and the Crusaders Gospel Band still present the same timeless message.
